PowerPlace picks up British Insurance Award for E-Business
Online commercial insurance marketplace, PowerPlace has been
announced as the winner of the E-Business award at the prestigious
British Insurance Awards 2011.
PowerPlace which had been shortlisted amongst some significant
industry players including More Than and Aon Benfield, was
presented the award at a dazzling ceremony at London’s Royal Albert
Hall.
Sales and Marketing Director, Darren Rowe was delighted to
receive the award: “This means a great deal to me and I know it
does to the whole PowerPlace team. It is less than a year since we
launched market-wide, we have over 1000 brokers signed up, a strong
panel of leading insurers and we’re on target to transact over
£100m gross written premium this year. We’ve all worked really hard
to show that PowerPlace is the future of commercial lines
distribution and I’m so proud to get recognition for that from the
industry in the form of this award.”
This is the seventeenth year of the British Insurance Awards.
The event is designed to showcase top class performance and
innovation, reward achievement and raise standards. Entries are
judged by a panel of market experts and practitioners, analysts,
consultants, and industry commentators.
