AXA launches Management Liability policy on PowerPlace
AXA Commercial Lines has launched its Management Liability
policy on PowerPlace. This is the second product from AXA
Commercial Lines to go live on the online commercial insurance
marketplace following the launch of its Tradesmen and Professional
Liability product in July.
AXA’s Management Liability Policy offers comprehensive cover
aimed predominately at private limited companies, charities, clubs
and associations. It goes beyond the industry norm providing cover
for the company or organisation as standard, not just the
individual directors. This is a particularly important part of the
cover as most claims are made against the company or organisation
rather than an individual. Cover includes:
- D&O/Trustees Liability covering the personal liability of
directors and trustees for any decisions made
- Company Legal Liability covering claims against the company or
organisation including regulatory investigations and prosecutions
as well as claims from shareholders, investors and other third
parties
Nick Giddings, PowerPlace CEO, says: “We’re particularly
delighted to launch AXA’s Management Liability policy on our
marketplace. Rising regulation and an increasingly litigious
society means that companies and their directors are facing a
growing number of claims, spurious or otherwise. There is real
interest amongst SMEs for this type of cover and the addition of
AXA’s policy to our panel offering significantly increases the
choice available to our brokers.”
Callum Taylor, Head of Management Liability at AXA Commercial
Lines, will be hosting a free workshop for brokers in London during
March aimed at giving them tools to educate their clients on the
importance of having the right cover.
He says: “Business has moved on and so has management liability
cover, but there is a real lack of understanding amongst SMEs about
why they need it and what it does and doesn’t cover. We’re
delighted to be able to help PowerPlace brokers fill any gaps in
their knowledge and update them on legislative moves so that they
are well placed to give their clients the best advice
possible.”
